This is a fast-paced college course in American Women's History. The reading has been shortened some, but this is a 16 week course collapsed into 5! So, it is important for you to keep up with the readings.

Each week I will provide a reading guide here, and then there will be quizzes on this material. I have the first week posted below--please click the link under Class #1, "Reading Guide #1." The others will be up shortly before the next week's readings.

Use the Class Website for the following:

1-FIRST STEP. . .

Please do the following to let me know you are in the class:

1-Please Check in by emailing me at yamanan@gmail.com to let me know you plan to take the course; please send phone number where I can reach you if necessary (rarely necesary, just in case) and your address

Put H120 in the Subject Line

2-Post Your Introduction on Blackboard's Discussion Board, and please follow directions (Introduce self and Answer the Question Posted)

3-Begin the first Week's Reading

2-SECOND STEP. . .

Please explore our web page, especially the assignments page--I will begin assigning the discussion questions tonight as I check-in students who intend to take the class-please study our web page, and read the requirements carefully.

After reading and exploring, learning where to find information, and after receiving your "check-in" email from me--if still you have questions, please email me--but read the syllabus and my email first.

3-THIRD STEP. . .

After you receive my email, please use the "check-off" list to keep track of all assignments and the dates they are due. You will NOT be able to post the answer to your asigned discussion question after the due date, nor will you be able to post discussion comments for reading after the week it has been assigned--so please use this list to keep track of your assignments so you can complete them comfortably before the due date.
